yet the Rascal will still keep the ease in paddling and wave catching there for you
Hello,
After many recommendations from friends and the need for something new in my quiver, I am interested in possibly purchasing a Lil’ Rascal. I have a few questions.
First about myself/surfwise. Im 5′8″ and weight around 155 (with full wetsuit on). I have been riding a 9′ noserider for a year now
and would consider myself
an intermediate surfer.
I can walk, ride nose, and decent turning.
I’m basically looking to work down a little
and add a little variety to my surfing…..
one which includes a little faster, and easier to turn and cutback, while keeping its ability to catch waves. I surf on Lake Michigan in Gary, IN and up the coast of Michigan so
I mostly surf waist to shoulder high,
choppy, and a little disorganized.
And sometimes smaller mush, closeouts kind of stuff.
So just wondering what size you would recommend and what you might have in stock that would work.
Or even, is there another board you make that you think would be work better than the Lil’ Rascal?
Also, what is your shipping cost to Chicago? I saw the well packed board in your pictures and it made me feel comfortable ordering from you guys. Having to have boards shipped and having my last board come
with free pressure dings on the rail make it an important consideration.
Thanks so much for your help. Best,
Curtis M.

Hi Curtis,
The Rascal is the perfect next board for you.
It is a great transition board when coming off a
longboard down to something
with more maneuverability,
yet the Rascal will still keep the ease in paddling and wave catching there for you. This is also the best board design I have when it comes to the type of waves your surfing…..
the Rascal generates tons of speed in even the
most small and weak conditions.
I have three in stock that would work great for you.
The first is a 6’8” x 22” x 2 7/8”…..this board would be plenty of board for you and would allow you to catch waves really easy and make the transition from long to short really smooth. The price for this one is $620.00. Fins are included.

The next is a 6’6” x 21 ¼” x 2 ¾”….this board would also have really great wave catching and would be
slightly more maneuverable than the 6’8”. The price for this board is $650.00. It has a grey, black and white resin swirl on the bottom which looks really sick. I know you don’t care about color, but the design and dimensions of this board would be really good for you….and it is available in stock ready to go. It also includes a set of fins.

The last board I have is a 6’3” x 21” x 2 ¾”…..I think this is “the” board that would be best for you. It has the appropriate volume to get you into the waves easy and the dimensions that will allow you the most maneuverability for your build and the direction you want to go with your surfing…..this board has a green swirl on the bottom and a sage green tint on the deck. It also has color that I know you don’t particularly need, but it is available in stock ready to go and really is the ideal shape for you. I have it up for $685.00, but would sell it to you for $650.00 just because I think it is the perfect board for you.

Packing and shipping to your door with insurance is approximately $100.00.
Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have.
I know you would be stoked on a magic Proctor
Rascal for Lake Michigan.
Looking forward to your reply,
Aloha,
Todd
P.S. – I have attached a link to images of the boards I detailed above for you to check out.
