The Rascal is such a great board for summer….takes away the small wave blues and turns it into a wavefeast!!
Hi, my name is Chase, and I am a girl looking to get a Lil rascal for summer, I normally ride a 5’11″x 18 1/2 x 2.25 shortboard. I am having trouble deciding on the exact dimensions I should get for the lil rascal. I can surf pretty well(surfed nssa college) and paddle too. Any advice or suggestions. I live Manhattan Beach, but surf all over. Thanks! -Chase

Hi Chase,
Nice to meet you.
The Rascal is such a great board for summer….takes away the small wave blues and turns it into a wavefeast!!
The magic dimensions for you would be: 5’6″ x 19 1/2″ x 2 1/4″. The deck is really flat and the bulk of the thickness carried out to the rail, to the volume is redistributed which keeps plenty of foam there to get into waves easy….
the flatter deck also gives the board a really great, springy flex characteristic.
This is a one of a kind board, so the dimensions are specific to this particular shape and will not work as generic dimensions for another type of shape. Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have. I know you would be stoked on a magic Proctor super speeder Rascal. Looking forward to your reply,
Aloha,
Todd
